John Peter Zenger

John Peter Zenger's case was probably one of the most important cases of all time, because now truth is the only defense against libel. Zenger's helped journalists all around the world for centuries with his case, but if he had never published any libel, and been sued I can't even begin to imagine how different the world would be. John Peter Zenger's case is even still relevant today. People can publish anything they want about the government as long as it is true. Many people have suffered because of John Peter Zenger, but many have benefitted as well. I think that he will be known for many more centuries to come and I think that his work will continue to benefit others in the future.
