I think Thomas made a very valid point when he said “I knew that movies were dying, but not as much as we think they are”. I don't agree that movies are dying, because modern technology allows anyone to become a film maker, and with all of the social media such as YouTube, anyone can become a movie star/film maker. In my opinion movies will only continue to grow.
I agree with Thomas when he said that "movies shaped a new economy for the future of the world". If movies had never been invented, the world would not be anything close to what it is today. Movie prices continue to increase because the cost of the production of the movie is increasing, and people will continue to spend money on movies. If movies hadn't been invented thousands of people would have different jobs such as actors, directors, screen writers, and even movie theater workers. People spend millions of dollars a year going to the movies, simply for the escape of their every day lives. People just want to experience a different reality for a couple of hours. I think that movies have influenced our society for the better and I couldn't imagine a world without them.
