After following WDRB for the past 9 days it is clear to me that they don’t report a lot of international or even national news. I understand that WDRB is a local news station, but it would be nice to see more than 1 or 2 stories that aren’t stupid little 3 minute stories about the next mugging in downtown Louisville. I understand that people need to be recognized when they are shot in downtown Louisville for no apparent reason, but I don’t really think that WDRB needs to spend 4 minutes discussing the exact information of the killing. It’s all the same and it is not newsworthy. There are wars going on all over the world and WDRB’s viewers are unaware because they only cover about 1 non-newsworthy international story a week. WDRB is a little better about national stories, but not much. They only report on about 3 national stories a week and some of those aren’t newsworthy either. WDRB is lacking in story diversity and I think they need to step up their game!
